Congee is a rice meal that looks like rice porridge or soup. Although congee is Asian food, it is eaten across the globe by both adults and children because of its nutritiousness, deliciousness, and ease of preparation with just a few ingredients.

 1 cup Rice
 1 ball of Tomato
 2 tsp OilPreferably olive oil or coconut oil
 Fish
 ½ ball of Broccoli
 A pinch of Saltoptional for babies that are up to a year old
 9 cups water

step 1: Rinse the rice with warm water, drain the water, and place the rice in your pot
step 2: Add about 9 cups of water and set the cooker on low heat and cook for about 30 min
step 3: Add your fish, oil, salt, chopped tomato, and continue cooking it for 10 min
step 4: Add your chopped broccoli and allow it to cook for about 2-5 min
step 5: Stir it to ensure that the consistency is what you need, otherwise, add more water, or let it cook to dry up a bit before serving

Step 1: Rinse the rice with warm water, drain the water and place it in your rice cooker bowl and add more water to cover the rice more than when you’re cooking your usual rice
Step 2: Add your fish, oil, salt, chopped tomato and cook for about 25mins
Step 3: Stir the congee to see the consistency. The rice should be properly soaked in water and not too runny with excess water. At this stage, if it’s too thick you need to add a little water
Step 4: Add broccoli and leave it to cook for about 2-5mins
Step 5: Stir it and it’s ready for consumption

Step 1: Rinse the rice with warm water, drain the water and place it in your rice cooker or pot ,add about 5 cups of water, and allow it to cook
step 2: After about 5mins when the rice starts boiling, add your fish
step 3: Allow it to cook and remove your fish from the boiling rice after about 3mins, debone, shred, and return it to the pot.
step 4: Add salt and oil after cooking for about 10mins
step 5: Wait for another 10-15mins before adding your chopped tomato to boil for another 5mins
step 6: Add the broccoli and steam for about 2-5mins
Step 7: Stir it and it’s ready for consumption
